Food Pantry Ministry
St. Luke's is a supporter of the three Food Pantries in our community: The Helping Center Food Pantry in Marble Falls, The Johnson City Christian Food Panty in Johnson City and The Lakes Area Care, Inc. in Burnet.
St. Luke's Contributes to these local Food Pantries in three ways:
- The Vestry has provided cash donations twice a year to the above organizations.
- St. Luke's provides a "Just One" "Little Red Wagon: in Swopes Hall for Parishioners to donate non-perishable food and personal toiletries that are distributed to the local food pantries. The "Just One" mantra is an encouragement for every Family to donate "Just One" item every week.
- St. Luke's parishioners donate their time to the local food pantries.
