Lent and Holy Week Schedule
Our weekly Lenten Program will be every Tuesday beginning at 6:00pm with Stations Of The Cross followed by a light Lenten supper and our followed by a study and discussion of St. Julian of Norwich on Revelations of Divine Love.
HOLY WEEK
March 29th - Palm Sunday - 10:45am Service
Marks the beginning of Holy Week and signifies Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This service will include the Blessing of the Palms and a procession by the congregation into the church.
April 1st - Holy Wednesday - 11:00am Service
Provides additional worship opportunity and preparation for the triduum of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil.
April 2nd - Maundy Thursday - 6:30pm Service
Focuses upon the Lord’s agony in the Garden of Gethsemane (also “The Garden of Repose”)and His institution of the “Last Supper”. Foot Washing is usually done at this service. There will be a stripping of the altar at this service, and the all-night Watch will follow.
April 2nd - All night watch in Garden of Repose - 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
April 3rd - Good Friday - Noon Service
Commemorates the imprisonment, trial and death by crucifixion of Jesus and the hour He hung on the Cross. This service is known as the Liturgy of the Cross.
April 4th - Saturday—Great Vigil of Easter - 8:00pm Service
The most ancient Easter service in the Christian Church. At this meaningful, and impressive service—attendees gather in darkness, light the new fire, and celebrate the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies in the resurrection of Christ. This is a candlelight service manifesting Christ
as the Light coming into a world of darkness.
April 5th - Easter Sunday - 10:45pm Service
The Day of Resurrection. There will be a traditional Easter service to include the children’s flowering of the Cross.
